Chay Bowskill is the boyfriend of Angel Lynn, 20, who was left paralyzed after she fell out of a van when he and his friend kidnapped her, could have his seven-year jail term INCREASED as Solicitor General refers to ‘unduly lenient’ sentences to the Court of Appeal.

Angel, 19, was dragged into the vehicle after arguing with ‘controlling’ Bowskill.
She fell out of the van, driven by Bowskill’s friend, Rocco Sansome, at 60mph along a dual carriageway in Rothley, Leicestershire.
The teenager was found seriously hurt on the A6 near Loughborough with a fractured skull.
She can no longer talk, walk or feed herself after the devastating incident on September 17, 2020.
Sansome was convicted of kidnap and sentenced to 21-months in prison – which has also been referred to the Court of Appeal.
Trial
In January this year, Bowskill and Sansome received jail terms of seven-and-a-half years and 21 months for kidnapping Angel, now 20.
The paltry sentences sparked outrage from Ms Lynn’s mother, Nikki, who demanded their penalties be doubled – citing the seriousness of her daughter’s injuries.
Today Solicitor General, Alex Chalk QC MP, said he agreed that the sentences ‘appeared unduly lenient.
He said he had now referred the matter to the Court of Appeal through the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) appeal scheme.
Mr Chalk said: ‘The horrendous case of Angel Lynn, who was the victim of sustained abuse by her partner, Chay Bowskill, culminated in her suffering life-changing injuries.
‘I have referred the sentence of Chay Bowskill, and that of his accomplice Rocco Sansome, to the Court of Appeal as they appear to me to be unduly lenient. It is now for the Court to decide whether to increase the sentences.’
Mr Chalk added: ‘I wish to express my sympathies to her family.’
Angel was only 19 when Bowskill bundled her into the transit driven by accomplice Sansome.
But now, her injuries are so severe she is unable to walk, talk or feed herself. Instead of being at home with her family, she lives in 24-hour specialist care in a rehabilitation centre.

It takes every ounce of her energy to purse her lips when his dedicated mother, Nikki, kisses her.
Speaking about the sentences of her daughter’s kidnappers, she told Sky News: ‘I am disgusted with the sentences. Seeing her like this kills me every day.
‘I worry every day about not being here anymore, who is going to look out for her?’
‘She was bubbly; she loved going out for meals with her friends. She used to take pride in herself; she always looked nice.
‘I miss everything about her, doing things together, running in and out of the house how she does, everything, cheekiness, she’s just so funny, so kind. I miss her altogether. I’m just scared I won’t get my Angel back.
‘I think she might know me when I try and get her to give me a kiss, if I put my cheek out, she purses her lips but it takes all her energy, it’s rare.’
At trial, Angel’s best friend told the Court how her ‘outgoing and chirpy’ nature changed, and she became ‘a different person’ after beginning her year-long relationship with Bowskill.
She told the jury: ‘As it went on you could tell things weren’t the same between them.’
She said Bowskill called his girlfriend ‘vile names’ and sent ‘constant text messages.
She added: ‘Chay told her she wasn’t allowed out and wasn’t allowed to meet me.
‘I said plenty of times to leave him, I told her to leave three or four times a week. She was being controlled.’
