Sheridan Wahl of Tampa was reported missing Sunday, according to the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Her body was found in Florence County Tuesday.
Wahl’s body was found Tuesday morning behind the Hanna-Salem Fire Department on Highway 378 in Pamplico, von Lutcken said.
Age
She was 21 years old.
Missing
According to a police report, Wahl came to Myrtle Beach to visit a family member. She FaceTimed a family member at about 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of South Ocean Boulevard.
She tried to rent a scooter but was denied because she wasn’t wearing shoes, so she said she was going home.

The family member told her to stay the night not to make the long drive home and hasn’t been heard from since.
A family member said Wahl could have been headed back to Tampa.
Found Dead
According to Florence County officials, a body was then reported to have been found in Florence County around 8:40 a.m.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken confirmed that the body found was Sheridan Wahl around 3:46 p.m.
Her body was discovered behind the Hanna-Salem Fire Department on Highway 378 in Pamplico, according to Lutcken. That’s nearly 45 miles from where she was initially reported missing.
