Sarmad Al Saidi was found with stab injuries to his chest and legs when police were called to a house in Chatham Place, Preston, Lancashire, at about 5.45 pm on Wednesday, December 23.
The teenager was treated at the scene and was later transferred to hospital but police confirmed he died on Sunday.
He has died in hospital following a brutal stabbing last week as three teenagers have been charged with his murder.
He was 16 years old.

Al Saidi was fatally knifed at a house in Preston, Lancashire on December 23.
Sarmad had been rushed to the hospital, where his family had remained by his bedside.
Officers had been called to an address in Chatham Place just before 6 pm on Wednesday to reports a boy had been knifed.
Jamie Dixon, 18, a 16-year-old male, and a 17-year-old male appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court, charged with murder.
All three had initially been charged with attempted murder following the alleged attack.
They only spoke to confirm their name, age, and address.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said Jamie Dixon, 18, of Clayton Avenue, Leyland, and two boys aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with his murder.
The three were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday.
A 20-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, both from Preston, and a 36-year-old woman from Leyland were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released under investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilson said: ‘This incident has resulted in a young man losing his life and my thoughts are very much with Sarmad’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“It is heartbreaking to see his parents go through such tragedy a mother seeing her baby boy’s dead body, a father going to bury his young son.
“Allah may u give his parents saber Jameel and grant our Sarmad al Saidi Jannah Allahumma Aameen.”
Pal Rachelle Taylor added: “So sad what a nice kid he was.”
Preston Muslim Burial Society tweeted: “Sarmed Al Saidi from Broadgate (son of Riaz Al Saidi) has passed away.
“A victim of knife crime at the tender age of 16. May Allah embrace him with His mercy and grant sabr to parents & family. Ameen.”
