A former Russian beauty queen has filmed a video inside a morgue with corpses in bags piled up to show the scale of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She is 37 years old.
Father
Her dad worked in the ambulance service of a military hospital caring for veterans for 23 years, she said.
“He was a military doctor, an officer.
“He came back from vacations and got sick at work.”

Kagarlitskaya had to collect her dad’s body from a morgue in the city of Samara, in southwestern Russia.
Gennady Kagarlitsky, who was a doctor, died of coronavirus after apparently contracting it while transporting Covid-19 victims by ambulance to the hospital.
His daughter Olga – who was Miss Samara 2005 – ignored morgue staff who tried to prevent her from seeing how many corpses in black bags were piled up in the morgue.
“Our official statistics are seven dead in Samara (from coronavirus),” she said on a video.
“Here we see far more than seven.”

Later workers at the morgue told her they were handling more than 50 bodies of Covid-19 victims at the time she visited, Olga claimed.
Her claims come as a former Russian government statistician has alleged that daily death toll figures in the country are “entirely false” and are masked to hide the grim reality of the second wave.
Olga also complained that health officials are seeking to deny the deaths of many medics – like her dad – were due to Covid-19, to avoid making compensation payments of £22,600.
“He fell ill at work, performing his duties,” she said.
Yet he forced to wait two days for an ambulance to the hospital where he had worked for 23 years, she said.
Once admitted Mr Kagarlitsky was a patient for more than two weeks and died after being put on a ventilator.

Olga claims she was told by morgue workers that an operation is underway to falsify the death certificates of health workers, implying they died of causes other than coronavirus.
Grieving Olga – who now has her own fashion label – said: “A morgue employee told me that I cannot expect reliable and independent research (into the cause of death) as they focus on a call from above, on a conversation with the ministry, with Moscow.
“All this is done so as not to pay compensation to the families of medical workers who died performing their duties.”
