A secondary school competitor in Tennessee says she was precluded from a volleyball coordinate after an arbitrator said her hijab disregarded the game’s principles, and she would have authorization from the state to wear it in future games.
As indicated by HuffPost, the arbitrator said that the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) requires state consent for an understudy to wear a hijab, and told ninth-grader Najah that she would require approval from the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).

American Muslim Advisory Council Executive Director Sabina Mohyuddin reprimanded Najah’s preclusion in an announcement to WZTV, considering the standard an “additional obstruction” for Muslim young ladies who need to play sports.
