Former middleweight champion Marvin Hagler breathed his last on Saturday, March 13, his wife Kay Guarrera revealed. The reason behind the former boxer’s death has not been revealed. He was 66.

Kay Guarrera was married to Hagler in 2000 a decade after separating from his first wife, Bertha Hagler.
A 1987 article in Washington Post reported that his wife, Bertha asked for court protection from her husband and custody of their children. Bertha Hagler appeared in Hingham District Court where Bertha Hagler accused her then-husband of abuse.

Hagler had five children with his first wife, Bertha: Charelle, Celeste, James, Marvin Jr., and Gentry.
Hagler’s Death Cause
Former undisputed middleweight champion “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler died on Saturday at the age of 66, according to his wife Kay G. Hagler.

“I am sorry to make a very sad announcement,” his wife posted on Facebook. “Today unfortunately my beloved husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire. Our family requests that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. With love.”
The note was signed by his wife, Kay. The exact circumstances of his death weren’t released, however, Thomas Hearns, a former professional boxer, posted on Instagram that Marvin Hagler was in the ICU “fighting the after-effects of the Covid-19 vaccine.” His post did not mention which brand of the Covid-19 vaccine he had received.
