Incident Details

On Sunday, October 22, 1:56 pm, MPD responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Bradley St. One victim was located and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect fled in a black sedan.

The getaway vehicle used in Dolph’s murder is now linked to a double shooting in Covington, as per NEWS 3 Channel. In that incident, two women were shot multiple times on November 12. The Covington police department said in part: “We also feel confident that the vehicle used in the shooting of Young Dolph was also used in our shooting. We are working closely with the Memphis Police Department and other agencies.”

One of those women, Anita Wilson, died from her injuries. Police said the shooting happened after the two attended a high school football game. “There was a vehicle behind them weaving back-and-forth and running upon them fairly closely,” Covington Police Chief Lindsey said. “Two subjects exited the vehicle and opened fire on the two victims.”

Just like in Dolph’s case, there were two suspects, and in both instances assault, rifles were used. Police are still searching for those responsible, and the investigation is still ongoing.
