Jake Notman who stabbed, strangled, and crushed his girlfriend during a psychological incident after repeatedly eating cannabis brownie has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Notman confessed to killing the college student. Lauren Bloomer, 25, Bingley Avenue, Tamworth, Staffordshire, early Friday morning, November 20th.
Stafford Crown Court heard the student “recorded her murder” after consulting online with Notman’s “bad trip with marijuana”.
He stabbed Miss Bloomer more than 30 times but refused to kill her, claiming that she was mentally ill.

Trial
Notman, who works at the Jaguar Land Rover Auto Plant, pleaded guilty to murder charges before the sixth day of his trial in Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday when prosecutors decided not to add further evidence to the murder charge.
Delivering his verdict, Judge May admitted that Notman had murdered at the couple’s Tom Worth home “at least partially” in response to a small amount of cannabis in a cookie.
The judge told Notman that he had never been convicted of killing his partner in a “very unexpected and horrific way”.
The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Bloomer “recorded her murder” on her cell phone after consulting with the Internet about Knotman’s “Journey through the Grass.”
Prosecutor Deborah Gold opened the case last week and told the judges that Ms. Bloomer had activated her phone to record what was happening “like a scream movie.”

Explaining what was seen or heard in the nearly 17-minute recording in the couple’s bedroom, Ms. Gold told the court: With those same hands.
“She was trying to take care of him in this chaotic situation with cannabis.
“He was heard laughing at the beginning of the recording, and they accused him of making fun of him.”
Noteman, the judges heard, aggressive nine minutes after the recording began, about a minute before Ms. Bloomer listened to her aunt say “please help me” on another phone call.

Ms. Gold added: “There is no doubt that something in the defendant’s behavior provoked Lauren to record on this cell phone.
“Audio screams for help in the audio.”
Notman was then heard saying, “I’ll take care of it,” before the engine could be heard moving.
A shot was then recorded on the victim’s phone as Knotman’s Ford Coga passed over her.
Defendant, who worked for Jaguar Land Rover in Solihull, was seen by neighbors running over his partner’s body and did nothing to help him before entering the house.
Then he dialed 999 at 1:32. And he informed the operator that he had been told that I had killed my girlfriend.
Notman did not comment in five interviews with police, instead stating that the cannabis brownie, which he had eaten for the first time, contained more than cannabis.
Defense Attorney Andrew Fisher QC gave a brief speech to the jury at the start of the trial, arguing that Notman had suffered an “extreme and tragic psychological event in which he was utterly cut off from reality, and I was completely deceived. ”
