Jake Davison is the suspected gunman of killing five people before shooting himself dead in Plymouth.
Three females and two males were shot in the Keyham area of the city on Thursday evening.
Police said the incident, the worst mass shooting in Britain since 2010, is not terror-related.
Five people died at the scene, and one died later in hospital. An MP has said one victim was a child.
Age
He was 23 years old.
Plymouth Shooting
Officers were called to Biddick Drive at about 6.10 pm last night.
South Western Ambulance Service said Hazardous Area Response Teams, multiple ambulances, air ambulances, doctors and senior paramedics were also sent to the scene.
Police declared a “critical incident” but stressed the shooting was not terror-related and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened.
Victims
Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed two females and two males were found dead at the scene in Keyham – along with the man believed to be the offender.
All are thought to have died from gunshot wounds.

Another female who was treated at the scene, also for gunshot wounds, died later in hospital.
Luke Pollard, MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport, tweeted: “I’m utterly devastated that one of the people killed in the Keyham shooting was a child under 10 years old.”
He also confirmed that more people were being treated for their injuries in the hospital.
Boris Johnson Statement
Prime minister Boris Johnson tweeted: “My thoughts are with the friends and family of those who lost their lives and with all those affected by the tragic incident in Plymouth last night.
“I thank the emergency services for their response.”
Investigation
People were asked to stay inside and follow police advice, as the emergency services responded.
Eyewitness Sharron, who lived nearby and did not want to give her full name, said what happened was “horrendous and so sad”.
“Firstly, there was shouting, followed by gunshots – three possibly four to begin with,” she said.
“This was when the shooter kicked in the door of a house and randomly started shooting. He ran from the house shooting as he ran and proceeded to shoot at a few people in the linear park up from the drive.”
She said the “shooter proceeded along Royal Navy Avenue still shooting”.
