Young motorbike racer Hugo Millan has been tragically killed in a horrific incident whilst competing in the European Talent Cup.
The racing world is in mourning after Cradle of Champions rider Hugo Millan passed away following a shocking crash towards the end of a race at MotorLand Aragon in Alcaniz, Spain
He was 14 years old.
The 14-year-old came off his bike just 13 laps from the end of a race at MotorLand Aragon in Alcaniz, Spain.
He was then run over by another rider accidentally in a fatal collision before the race was immediately called to a halt as medics rushed to his aid.
Millan was given emergency treatment while still on the track before a helicopter transported him to Zaragoza Hospital.
Sadly, the attempts to save him proved unsuccessful, with tributes pouring in for the teenager following his shocking death.
His team, Cradle of Champions, issued a statement, which read: “We deeply regret to communicate that Hugo Millan has left us.
“We will always remember you for your smile, your big heart and your professionalism. Rest in peace, Hugo.
“You will always be in our hearts and we will remember you like this, smiling, as always.
“We love you.”
Moto GP paid their respects via their official Twitter account, writing: We are so sorry and saddened about @CEVMotorcycle rider Hugo Millán’s passing.

Millan’s death is the second the motorbike racing community has experienced in just three months, following the passing of 19-year-old Moto3 rider Jason Dupasquier, who died in May from injuries sustained in a crash at Italy’s Mugello Circuit.
