Hassan Jabbie is accused of killing a pregnant woman, Janet Dweh remains behind bars after facing court this morning.
Dozens of family and friends of the mother-of-three attended the Midland Magistrate’s Court for the first appearance of Jabbie, who has been charged with her murder.

Ms. Dweh, 36, was just weeks away from giving birth to her fourth child when she was bludgeoned to death inside her Dayton home, north of Perth, on October 3.
Ms. Dweh’s body was discovered by her brother a day after her death after she failed to attend a family commitment.

Earlier this month, Major Crime Superintendent Rod Wilde said no signs of forced entry to the property, leading police to believe the assailant had a key or was let in by Ms. Dweh.
Hassan Jabbie Charged
A married Perth man accused of murdering heavily pregnant woman Janet Dweh was her “lover” and the father of her unborn baby, her brother, claims.
On Friday, mining geo-technician Hassan Jabbie, 50, was charged with her murder and faced Midland Magistrates Court as members of Ms. Dweh’s distraught family watched on from the public gallery.
Trial
There was a significant police presence at Ms. Dweh’s home in the days after her death on October 4, as forensic investigators scoured the property for evidence.
“It’s a terrible crime, obviously, the death and murder of Janet … [and] the fact that she was eight months pregnant,” Superintendent Rod Wilde said.
“It’s a horrific event.”
Jabbie is due to next appear in the Stirling Garden Supreme Court on Wednesday.
