Mobile Police have arrested Jai Scott of Semmes on five counts of attempted murder in connection with Friday night’s shooting at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
At least four people were hospitalized Friday after shots rang out at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, leaving one victim in critical condition and police searching for at least two suspects, authorities said.

The shooting happened about 9:56 p.m. during the Williamson-Vigor football game, causing chaos as spectators ran for the exits and the players were told to lay down on the field.

Two of those wounded are juveniles, according to Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine.
Prine said that the gunfire broke out on the stadium’s west exit ramp, and at least two suspects fled the scene in a white sedan.

Five to seven shots were fired, and police recovered at least four shell casings, Prine said.

Mobile Police have arrested in Friday’s shooting at Ladd-Peebles stadium late Saturday night.
Jai Scott has been charged with five counts of attempted murder.
Mobile Police are now reporting five people shot. Friday night MPD said at least four victims. One victim’s injuries are life-threatening; the other four victims’ injuries are not life-threatening.
MPD is still working to find a motive for the shooting.
