The Londoner was charged on Friday with trespass on a protected area and possession of a blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
He will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today. It comes after another man was charged after allegedly carrying an ax down a street near the palace.
Crowds have been flocking to the palace gates this week to honor the late Prince Philip. The Duke of Edinburgh will be laid to rest today, with his funeral due to start at 3 pm.
