Four children were left without a mother a week before Christmas after the body of a 30-year-old woman was found at her north Belfast home.
Tragic Caoimhe Morgan’s body was discovered yesterday morning after suffering what is believed to be a violent assault.
Police confirmed a 30-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Last night as the forensic teams began their investigations at the property in Harcourt Drive, police maintained a low-key presence outside the home where she took her last breath.
A double buggy belonging to Ms Morgan’s twin babies sat in the driveway, and Christmas lights sparkled from an upstairs window, a reminder of the life of the bright young mother.
Suspect Arrested
Bags of evidence were taken from the crime scene as many neighbours closed their blinds as a mark of respect.
As her family tried to come to terms with the shock that their loved one had been taken from them in brutal circumstances, a 30-year-old man was being questioned by police.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren McCartney said: “The body of a 30-year-old woman was discovered in a property in Harcourt Drive this morning. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course, but I am treating her death as murder at this time.
“A 30-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Harcourt Drive and who witnessed anything or anyone with any information that can assist my investigation contact Detectives on 101 quoting reference 790 18/12/21.
