Burhan Kuzu died on 1 November 2020 in Istanbul from COVID-19. He was a Turkish lawyer and politician. He was a former deputy in the Turkish Parliament for more than one session as a representative of the Justice and Development Party.

Education
He studied at Istanbul University Faculty of Law. The intern worked as a district governor. He continued his academic life and received the title of professor in 1998. He worked as a lecturer and chairman of the Constitutional Law Department of the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University. Kuzu took part in the Faculty of Law of Paris Sorbonne University within the framework of academic research. He has published many articles and books in the professional field.
Career
Kuzu served as a member and manager in various non-governmental organizations. He worked as a lecturer at Beykent University Institute of Social Sciences for a while. He lectured as a visiting lecturer at Zirve University Faculty of Law.
Kuzu started active politics in 2001 as a founding member of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party). He became the first Chairman of the Party’s Democracy Arbitration Board.

Death Cause

A professor of constitutional law, Kuzu was receiving treatment for two weeks after being diagnosed with the virus.
The late lawmaker started his political career in 2001 as one of the founding members of the AK Party and became the first head of the party’s Democracy Arbitration Committee.
