Brotha Lynch Hung is an American rapper and record maker who has released an EP called 24 Deep (1993) and the studio collections Season of da Siccness (1995), Loaded (1997), EBK4 (2000), The Virus (2001), Lynch by Inch: Suicide Note (2003), Dinner and a Movie (2010), Coathanga Strangla (2011) and Mannibalector (2013).
He is widely recognized as the creator of horrorcore rap (also called ghastliness hip jump, disgust rap, demise hip bounce, or transient rap), a subgenre of hip bounce music that relies on horror and vaguely intrusive expressive content and symbolism. The motivation for this came from the way he really liked blood and gore movies since his adolescence.
Despite being born and raised in Sacramento, California, on the West Coast of the United States, Brotha Lynch Hung had developed an interest in music after becoming a fan of East Coast rappers like Rakim and Slick Rick. He had started rapping when he was 13.

About 3 years later, he had joined a pack called 24 Street Crips. The Crips, which included 24 Street Crips, was a coalition of road owners in coastal Southern California. It was founded in Los Angeles in 1969.
