Brenda Rasmussen and her two adult sons have been arrested for her missing husband’s murder after he was found buried under a storage shed.
Ms Rasmussen and her two sons — Danny Jones, 34, and Andrew Jones, 31 — were taken into custody in Arizona on Tuesday after authorities said she fled her Washington state home amid the ongoing investigation, the US Marshals said.

Jerry Rasmussen Murder
Rasmussen reported her 65-year-old husband, Jerry Rasmussen, missing on Sept. 27, telling sheriff’s deputies he left their home in Stevens County several weeks earlier after an argument — and hadn’t been heard from since.
But when detectives carried out a search warrant at the property in November, cadaver dogs picked up the scent of human remains under a storage shed that had only recently been erected, authorities said.
Jerry’s remains were found buried under the shed and an autopsy determined he had been shot in the head, officials said.

Rasmussen, however, had already vacated the property where she lived with her husband and son Danny, authorities said.
Investigation
Authorities believe she fled the state after detectives started treating the case as a homicide — and identified her and her sons as persons of interest, authorities said.
The trio was eventually tracked down in Mohave County, Arizona, where Rasmussen’s son Andrew has a property.
They were arrested for rendering criminal assistance and were booked into the Mohave County Jail.
All three suspects are awaiting extradition to Washington state.
