Brahane Yordanos had found in a property of multiple occupations in Unett Street, Newtown. Detectives are desperately trying to trace the family of a teenager who was stabbed to death in a house in Birmingham.
Nothing could be done to save the young woman, originally from Eritrea, East Africa, and a murder investigation has been launched.

Yordanos from Eritrea was fatally stabbed at a property on Unett Street in Newtown. A hunt is underway to track down her murderer.
A murder investigation was launched, and police are trawling CCTV to trace a man seen leaving the area.
Initial inquiries led detectives to a man known to the victim, but he has since been ruled out of their investigation.
Unfortunately, police have been unable to trace any of Brahane’s family members, so we are appealing to anyone who knew her to get in touch so that they can inform her relatives of her death.

Detective Inspector Jim Mahon from the homicide unit said: “Our investigation is progressing at pace, but we are struggling to find anyone who knew much about her.
“We desperately need to speak to her family to inform them of her sad death. This may also give us leads to who she may have been associating with.”
