Blaise Barnett disappeared Wednesday morning from his Clarkston home.

According to police, toddler Barnett was in a grey 2002 Ford Explorer taken from his home off of Montreal Drive. He was last seen wearing a diaper and black shirt with blue dinosaurs on it. He also had a grey blanket wrapped around him.

He is one year old.

Missing

Barnett was last seen wearing a black shirt with blue dinosaurs and a diaper wrapped in a blanket when the grey 2002 Ford Explorer was taken from 1000 Montreal Road in Clarkston.

11Alive spoke to the boy’s emotional mother, who has a message for those responsible.

“We’re not holding up too good, but we’re trying,” Deonna Bray said.

The 1-year-olds mother said the only message she has is to bring the baby home safely.

The Explorer has a Georgia license plate, P2722946, and a “Tag Applied For” in the vehicle’s back window.

Mother Appeal

Atlanta’s 11Alive News spoke to the child’s mother, who had a message for the person who took her child.

“If he’s cold, just keep him warm. I know he’s crying right now. Don’t get upset at the crying. He’s just a baby. He doesn’t know what’s going on. He doesn’t know who you are. Don’t get irritated. I beg you.”

The mother said he went grocery shopping Wednesday morning with Blaise and his father, and their nephew. When Blaise’s father brought the nephew and groceries inside the home, someone jumped in the Explorer and drove away. Blaise was still inside the vehicle.

Amber Alert

Law enforcement officials have located the car suspected of transporting abducted 1-year-old Blaise Barnett, but the child was not inside.

The vehicle, a 2002 Ford Explorer, is at GBI headquarters, officials said. The child’s family tells FOX 5 Atlanta that the child and child’s car seat have not been found.

The FBI is assisting with the investigation, officials confirmed.

On Wednesday morning, Levi’s Call, Georgia’s Amber Alert System for missing and abducted children, was issued for the 1-year-old boy out of Clarkston.
