The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Jobs is a government of Pakistan cash-transfer program that aims to provide an income to the poorest families living in rural areas. It was launched on 1st January 2008 and is currently spending around Rs. 26 billion monthly on its beneficiaries – about 80% of which goes to cover the cost of food.
The Benazir Income Support Programme was started by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto. The program was initially funded with an amount of seventy billion rupees, and since then it has been expanded up to 2020.
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is a program that provides cash assistance to the poor. The Government of Pakistan has established BISP as a social safety net program designed to help low-income families achieve an acceptable standard of living. This program offers one-time cash assistance through a BISC, which can be used at any ATM.
The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) provides a monthly stipend to low-income women who are widowed or who have children. The BISP is run by the Ministry of National Healing Services, Regulations, and Coordination, and is available in rural areas across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-45.
