Murder probe launched after Bennylyn Burke goes missing with their two-year-old daughter. A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder by police in Dundee in connection with the Burke’s disappearance alongside her daughter after they were reported missing from Gloucestershire on Monday
Bennylyn Burke Missing
Ms. Burke, 25, was reported missing from her home in Gloucestershire on 1 March along with two children, including Jellica.
Detective Superintendent Graeme Mackie, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “This is a complex inquiry involving both local officers in Dundee and specialist resources from across Police Scotland.
“Bennylyn’s next of kin have been updated on the arrest and are being supported by colleagues from Avon and Somerset Police.
“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this very difficult time.
Suspect Arrested
A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with the disappearance of Bennylyn Burke, 25, and her daughter Jellica.
Bennylyn was last seen two weeks ago on February 17 in the Kingswood area, police said.
Tayside Police said earlier that a man was arrested in Dundee yesterday in connection with their disappearance.
Detective Superintendent Graeme Mackie, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “We are now treating the disappearances as a murder investigation and I would urge anyone with any information to please come forward and speak to us.
