Andrew Mock Wiki – Andrew Mock Bio

Harris County deputies said Andrew Mock has been charged in connection with the crash that happened about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on the Northwest Freeway near West Little York Road.

Three persons have died because of a street-racing crash in Houston over the weekend, and the man accused of driving the car is now facing three manslaughter charges. He appeared in court Wednesday.

He is 22 years old.

Street racing Crash

Deputies said hundreds were standing along sidewalks on the frontage road as others showed off their vehicles. A witness’s cell phone recorded a yellow Camaro speed by and then crash into another driver, who was in a Chevrolet Malibu.

The impact sent the Malibu into the crowd of onlookers.

“We heard the crash, we turned and I saw the yellow Camaro literally kinda fly in the air a little bit,” a witness said.

“And he was sliding against the wall.”

“Once they moved back, we saw the Malibu kind of come towards us and then we dipped out of the way, dipped backward,” Another witness said. “There were a lot of people so it was hard to run away.”

One spectator was killed and a teenage boy later died after being airlifted from the scene, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed.

The dead man was later identified as 35-year-old Roger Glover. The car buff was visiting Houston from New Jersey to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

The teenage victim’s name hasn’t been released.Another teen had to be airlifted to Memorial Hermann, one person was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and at least five others were treated for various injuries at the scene.

Andrew Mock Arrested

Deputies identified the driver of the Camaro as Andrew Mock. He allegedly told the crowd moments before that he was going to do a “fly by.”

The impact was so severe, Mock’s Camaro briefly went airborne, witnesses said.

“There is no more safe haven,” said Sean Teare, Harris County D.A.’s Office, after the crash. “You’re going to jail, you’re losing your cars, and if you do something as we saw here tonight, you’re going to prison for a long long time.”

Mock’s lawyer requested his bail be reduced from $80,000 to $15,000. The judge denied the request and added bail conditions if he bails out of jail, including no driving, no drugs, no firearms, and a curfew while wearing an ankle monitor.

Police Report

According to deputies, said Mock was driving a yellow 2018 Chevrolet Camaro westbound at a high rate of speed when he struck the left-rear of a black 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with the right-front of his Camaro.

Deputies said the collision caused the Malibu to travel off of the roadway and onto a sidewalk, which was occupied by pedestrians. The Malibu struck several pedestrians who were standing on the sidewalk, deputies said.
