Amanda Selby died at a Parkdean resort in Towyn. An inquest has revealed the possible cause of a girl who died at a Welsh caravan park.
Her brother Matthew Selby has been charged with murder. North Wales Police say the incident occurred at Ty Mawr Holiday Park near Rhyl – a high-end Parkdean resorts venue with a heated indoor pool and a short walk to the beach.

Amanda, of Penrith Avenue in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, died on Saturday, July 31.
She was on holiday with her family at Tŷ Mawr Holiday Park in Towyn, pronounced dead at 4.15 pm.
Her body was formally identified by her father Anthony Selby, coroner for North Wales east and central John Gittins, heard at Ruthin County Hall on Monday, NorthWalesLive reports.

Dr Bryan Rodgers conducted a post-mortem examination, and a provisional cause of death of asphyxia due to neck compression and external airways obstruction and crush asphyxia was given.
The inquest was adjourned to a date yet to be fixed pending further investigation.

Tributes
Amanda’s high school Droylsden Academy also paid tribute to the teenager, saying: “Our school is saddened to have received the tragic news that one of our students, Amanda Selby in Year 10, has lost her life while on holiday with her family in Wales.
“Our deepest sympathies and thoughts are with Amanda’s family at what is a tough time.
“Our school family is devastated by this awful news.
“Amanda was a lovely student, and students and staff will sorely miss her.
“Many members of our school community will be affected by this loss, and we will be offering support to those who need it in the weeks and months ahead.
“We will also plan a tribute when the time is right so that we can remember all that Amanda brought to our school.”
