The woman is described as standing 5’5” and weighing 125 pounds. She has straight brown hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket and pink-and-black boots.
The slim woman was last seen Monday morning in the area of Dundas Street and Scarlett Road.
The circumstances are eerily similar to but significantly different from, another episode involving a missing individual and police searching.
In the early hours Tuesday, police arrived at a third-floor Toronto Community Housing apartment on George Street downtown.
They were searching at that location for 33-year-old Killeen, who had been reported missing the previous day.
Something happened. An “interaction” with a man, who may or may not have been armed with a gun. Details are scarce.
That man was fired upon by two officers. Paramedics rushed the victim to emergency with life-threatening injuries.
He died in hospital at 4:17 a.m. — about 45 minutes after police came to the door. The victim is identified as Gedi Ali Gedi.
The Special Investigations Unit has taken over the case, as the civilian watchdog agency is mandated to do whenever a civilian death or serious injury results after interactions with police.
But Toronto homicide cops were on the scene as well, remaining there for much of the day. Neither police nor the SIU would confirm that a victim other than the man fatally shot was discovered in the apartment.
