Today, police told the Perth Magistrates Court the woman had met Mr Nicoletti and another man, Vincenzo Mineo, 36, in a bar. They insinuated to her they were in a relationship.

Investigation

The court heard there had been an investigation into Mr Nicoletti in 2016 over the alleged sexual assault of a woman in the carpark of his restaurant. Still, no action was taken at the time because the complainant said: “it was too much to deal with.”

Sergeant O’Leary said that woman had now ‘re-engaged” with police.

The other two alleged sexual assaults are said to have occurred in July this year — when Mr Nicoletti is accused of picking up a woman outside a nightclub after he falsely told her he was her Uber driver — and in July last year, when it is claimed he picked a woman up from the side of the road after she fell over.

Mr Nicoletti today applied for release on bail. Still, it was opposed by Sergeant O’Leary, who said the restaurateur was “a dangerous sexual predator” who posed “a significant risk to young females.”
