Adam Montgomery, the father of missing New Hampshire child Harmony Montgomery, is now accused of assault and other charges relating to the 7-year-old girl.
On December 31, 2021, in Manchester, New Hampshire, police put out a “missing child” alert for Harmony on Facebook. Although her father is now in custody, Harmony remains missing. Police were only alerted in December 2021 that the child had not been seen since 2019.

Harmony is about 4 feet tall and 50 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. She is blind in her right eye and should be wearing glasses. The most recent photographs available were taken when she was five years old.
“Manchester police became aware of this week, and I know people are going to say well here it is 2021, almost 2022, and nobody has seen this young girl since late October 2019. So what has happened in the last few years? Fair question. That’s why I’m here today. Because we need assistance. We need help. And we do not have many answers to many questions that we have,” said Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Altenberg. “I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it’s irrelevant – call us.”
Adam Montgomery Charged
The Manchester, New Hampshire, Police Department announced in a January 5, 2022, news release posted to the department’s Facebook page that Attorney General John M. Formella, Hillsborough County Attorney John Coughlin, and Manchester Police Chief Allen D. Aldenberg announced that Adam Montgomery, age 31, of Manchester, New Hampshire, “was arrested on January 4, 2022, in Manchester.”
They added: “Mr Montgomery’s arrest was pursuant to an arrest warrant for one charge of felony second-degree assault arising from 2019 conduct against Harmony Montgomery, age 7, as well as one misdemeanour charge of interference with custody, and two misdemeanour charges of endangering the welfare of a child pertaining to Harmony Montgomery. Although an arrest has been made, the search for Harmony continues.”
