Benjamin Simpson is a British national, who has been arrested after allegedly shooting a gun while high on drugs on board a speedboat off a Thai island.
Simpson allegedly took meth with the speedboat’s chief before the pair set off on a voyage around Koh Samui together on Wednesday.
During the boat ride, Simpson supposedly discharged a few rounds from a handgun towards the extravagance seafront lodging where he was remaining.
Benjamin Simpson Arrested
Witnesses said in staff fell down in dread during the supposed shooting binge and later reached the police for help.
Officials raced to the five-star inn and captured Simpson when he got back to his room after the speedboat trip.
Police said they found a 9mm Beretta gun with 31 shots and a pistol with 49 projectiles inside his lodging.

Speedboat chief Geerati Glinubol was captured in the lodging along with Simpson.

Charges

Lieutenant Colonel Nakmoosik said: ‘Hotel staff heard guns being fired so they called the police.
‘They said the gunshots were near the hotel and they were scared.
‘We arrested Benjamin Robert Simpson in the hotel room and found two guns and methamphetamine.
‘We put him in handcuffs and kept him at the police station while we investigate and check CCTV.’
