    5 recipes for chicken starters for winter season!

    During the winter, there is nothing as comforting as gathering around a warm meal with family and friends. For instance, chicken starters have been a delicious choice to fight the cold and satisfy one’s need for warmth and satisfaction. Winter will give you an array of delicious chicken starters, with fresh ingredients now available online, ranging from meat delivery service, fresh chicken purchase online, and even poultry products online. Below are five tantalising chicken starters to spice up your winter-season presentation.

     Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Soup

    Ingredients: 

    • One pound of boneless chicken breast, diced
    • 8 oz. button mushrooms, sliced
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 4 cups of chicken broth
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 2 tablespoons of butter
    • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley for garnish

    Instructions: 

    • Melt the butter and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until tender and aromatic.
    • Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until they give up their moisture and brown.
    • Add the boneless chicken pieces, (which you can get from boneless chicken order online) to the pot and cook until white, no longer pink.
    • Stir in all-purpose flour over the mixture and make a roux. Cook them for a few minutes to eliminate the raw flavour of the flour.
    • Add the chicken broth, bay leaf, and dried thyme. Add salt and black pepper.
    • Boil the soup gently, then reduce the heat to low, cover it, and let it simmer for 20–25 minutes. In the meantime, the flavours blend and the chicken becomes perfectly cooked.
    • Add the heavy cream and cook the soup for another 5–10 minutes.

    Chicken and Vegetable Skewers

     Ingredients:

    • 1 lb. boneless chicken cube
    • Red bell pepper, cut into chunks
    • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
    • 1 zucchini, sliced
    • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

    Instructions: 

    • Mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to make a marinade.
    • Thread your chicken cubes and vegetables on the wooden skewers, changing from one kind of stuff to another, which has different colours.
    • Brush the skewers with the marinade evenly.
    • Heat up your preheated grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for 5-7 minutes per side or until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.

    Spicy Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 pound of boneless chicken, sliced
    • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
    • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
    • 1 onion, sliced
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • Grate 1 inch of ginger.
    • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
    • Sriracha Sauce (1 tablespoon, to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon of honey
    • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons of oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Served either way with cooked rice or noodles.

    Instructions: 

    • Combine soy sauce, sriracha, honey, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl and whisk it to get a savoury sauce.
    • Heat the oil over high heat. Add the sliced chicken and toss until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and cool it down.
    • Pour some oil into the same skillet if needed, and fry minced garlic and ginger till they get aromatic.
    • Add the chopped bell pepper and onion to an already hot pan and cook them to become soft but maintain their crispiness.
    • Return the mixture to the pan and pour the sauce over it. Cook the chicken and vegetables for just about two minutes over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
    • Serve the hot, spicy chicken and vegetable stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles for a great meal.

    Chicken and spinach-stuffed mushrooms

    Ingredients: 

    • Cleaned and stems removed, 12 large white mushrooms
    • 1/2 pound ground chicken
    • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
    • 1/4 cup cream cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley for garnish

    Instructions:

    • Your oven should be preheated to 375°F (190°C).
    • Ground chicken is cooked in a skillet until it’s no longer pink over medium heat. Take it out and put it away from the skillet.
    • If necessary, in the same skillet, add some oil and cook the onions and garlic until the onions are very soft and fragrant.
    • Mix in the spinach and cook until wilted.
    • Combine the cooked chicken, sautéed onion and spinach, cream cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl. Then add the salt and pepper to the mixture and mix all the ingredients.
    • Clean out each mushroom cap and fill it with the chicken mixture.
    • Lay the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking tray, then place them in the pre-heated oven and let them cook for about 15-20 minutes, until they are tender and the fillings have also become hot.

    Baked lemon-glazed chicken wings

    Ingredients: 

    • 2 pounds of chicken wings
    • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
    • One lemon, its zest, and its juice
    • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
    • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions: 

    • Mix minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, dried rosemary, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make a marinade.
    • Then, place the chicken wings in a resealable plastic bag, pouring the marinade over them. Leave the bag open and massage the marinade into the wings. Refrigerate for at least thirty minutes or even more for better taste.
    • Warm up your oven at 425°F (220°C).
    • Lay the marinated chicken wings flat on the pre-prepared baking sheet.
    • Mix it and bake in the already preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, for golden brown and ready-to-eat wings.
    • Bake the lemon-garlic chicken wings and serve them hot with a dipping sauce of your own.
